Bike Routes in Jackson Hole

From Jackson Hole to Moose (Grand Teton National Park)

Ride from in the town of Jackson Hole to the small town of Moose; the south entrance to Grand Teton National Park. The entire trip is 29 miles and takes an estimated three hours to complete. Extend your bike trip and add on several stops along the way such as the National Museum of Wildlife Art, Craig Thomas Discovery Center, and the Menor’s Ferry Historic District.

Tip: While biking in Grand Teton National Park is a bit challenging with its narrow roads, bikers can take advantage of empty roads in the spring when they are open to bikers only.

Moose-Wilson Pathway

Enjoy the long leisurely path from Wilson to Moose. The paved pathway starts in Wilson and runs to Teton Village. In the summer, bikers can choose to continue to Moose for entrance in the Grand Teton National Park. From Wilson to Moose is 16.2 miles.

Tip: Make time for a stop at Phelps Lake, which roughly halfway between Teton Village and Moose.

Moose to Jenny Lake

Upon entering the park via the town of Moose, enjoy a beautiful bike ride out to Jenny Lake (inside the park). Round trip, the ride is 23 miles and brings you along the base of the Tetons up to Jenny Lake. Enjoy the best of the lake with the scenic boat ride tour and lunch at the Jenny Lake Lodge.

Old Pass Road

For a quick challenge, ride up the steep Old Pass Road to the top of the pass (Teton Pass) for excellent views of Jackson and surrounding areas.

In-town pathways

The town of Jackson Hole offers several in-town paved pathways; perfect for biking in Jackson Hole, WY. Most of the paths are found in the southwest corner of town. Cache Creek is a popular route amongst hikers, bikers, and runners. Located two miles from the town square, these trails are amongst the easiest and least technical in the area.
