You know it is the holiday season as soon as you see the elk antlers go up in the town square. Four decorated arches of lights and elk antlers guard the entrance to the town square and are probably one of the most notable holiday traditions in town. A tradition that started many years ago, this notable landmark has visitors stopping for their perfect Instagram shot.
Elk Refuge Sleigh Ride
Take a horse-drawn sleigh ride through a scenic winter wonderland and encounter an elk herd numbering in the thousands at the Elk Refuge. This activity is great for the entire family and is a seasonal holiday favorite in Jackson.

Santa’s coming to town
Starting December 15th, from 5 to 7 PM through Christmas Eve, Santa will be visiting the town square every night. Also, catch Santa on Christmas Eve at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort as he rappels out of the Aerial Tram. Or ski with him on Christmas day on the Teewinot and Casper runs.
